Trainings for Children On Their Rights

ASET Center has diligently carried out comprehensive and interactive trainings with children living in residential institutions in Tirana and Saranda, as well as with children in centers offering services for children in street situations in Tirana and Shkodra, with the aim of empowering them and raising their awareness about their rights.

These trainings have been designed and implemented using the international Compasito methodology, which is a well-known manual for human rights education with children. Through non-formal education techniques and proven practical methods, the trainings included games, group work, guided discussions, and creative exercises that stimulate critical thinking and free expression of ideas.

Through structured activities based on Compasito, children have become familiar with their rights, learned about the responsibilities of institutions and adults toward them, and received practical guidance on how to seek help or express their concerns.

In the residential care institutions in Tirana and Saranda, the trainings aimed to break the sense of isolation, raise awareness, and build trust in staff and support structures. ASET has worked closely with institutional staff to ensure a sensitive and respectful approach to children’s rights.

For children in street situations in Tirana and Shkodra, the trainings created safe and welcoming spaces where they could share their experiences, learn about their entitled rights, and develop life and social skills. Through activities following the Compasito method, they were encouraged to express their wishes and concerns and to build communication bridges with social services and the wider community.

ASET Center remains committed to continuing the provision of these programs that empower children and protect their rights, contributing to the building of a more just and inclusive society.
