Trainings for Foster Families – Alternative Care with Love and Responsibility

ASET Center, with consolidated experience in the field of social protection, has successfully developed specialized trainings for families interested in becoming foster families, in order to provide alternative care for children without parental care. This dedicated training explains in detail the foster care process, the legal and administrative steps to be followed, as well as the skills a family must possess to offer safe protection, emotional support, and a stable, loving, and educational environment for children in need.

In collaboration with field experts and supported by well-known partners (SOS – Children’s Villages Albania), these trainings aim to increase knowledge about the legal and institutional framework of the foster care service, strengthen skills for managing complex situations, and build a sensitive, loving, and responsible approach toward children in need.

The trainings have included informative sessions on the principles of family foster care, the methodology for assessing and preparing families, the rights and needs of children without parental care, and the administrative and legal process for acquiring foster family status. Through group work, interactive discussions, and practical examples, participants have gained concrete skills and the confidence to provide a safe and protective environment for children.

ASET Center has helped dozens of families become informed, assessed, and prepared to take on this vital social role, assisting with the completion of necessary documentation and offering continuous support throughout the process.

This important service aims to offer a quality alternative to institutionalization, ensuring the right of children to live and grow up in a loving and caring family environment. For ASET, preparing foster families is an investment in the future of children and in building a more sensitive and responsible society.
